The ingredients we choose
Some ingredients have decades of clinical research behind them - peer-reviewed trials, measurable outcomes, standardised extracts tested for consistency and potency. Others have something different - centuries of documented use across traditional medicine systems, refined by generations of practitioners who observed, recorded, and passed down what worked.
At Made for Wellness Co, we don't rank these two bodies of evidence against each other. A herb that has been used thoughtfully for 500 years has earned its place in a formula, just as an ingredient with robust modern research has too. What matters is whether the evidence (of either kind) is credible, consistent, and meaningful at the dose we use.
Every ingredient we select is chosen against that standard. Not because it's trending, not because it fills out a label, but because the evidence gives us genuine reason to include it.
Why more isn't better
The problem with kitchen-sink formulas.
The supplement industry has quietly normalised formulas packed with ingredients, and the logic seems sound. More must mean better. But when too many ingredients compete for the same absorption pathways, they can work against each other, reducing how much your body actually takes up. When a formula stretches across a long ingredient list, individual doses get smaller. An ingredient present in a clinically insignificant amount isn't doing meaningful work. It's just cost-cutting disguised as complexity.
At Made for Wellness Co, we formulate differently. Each ingredient is chosen because the evidence supports it and the dose is meaningful - not diluted across a crowded formula, but present at a level that can actually do its job. Fewer ingredients, deliberately chosen, working as they're intended to.
